Stephanie Parker, LMFT, MA, is a licensed therapist with advanced training in a multitude of therapies for adults, teens, and families.

Stephanie earned her master’s degree (MA) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University where she graduated with high honors.

Prior to joining the Curry Psychology Group, Stephanie worked as a Lead Therapist with some of the most prestigious treatment programs in Southern California. In this role, she oversaw the quality of care provided to hundreds of adults, adolescents, and families dealing with a wide range of issues. Her experience as a clinical supervisor and as a therapist are reflected in her breadth of knowledge as well as her connectedness to her clients.

Stephanie has completed advanced specialty training in several highly researched and effective therapy methods. These include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), shown to help people manage grief and recover from trauma; Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a structured treatment for PTSD; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for improvement of overall mood, well-being, and relationships; and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for issues ranging from anxiety, depression, substance use issues, work or school-related stress, and overall improved life functioning.

As both a clinician and someone who has been through her own therapeutic journey, Stephanie is passionate about the powerful life transformations that occur when past traumas are healed. She fully understands the importance of a safe and supportive therapy environment and approaches each individual client with empathy and kindness.

Stephanie also ensures that the care she provides is trauma-informed, gender-affirming, culturally-sensitive, and evidence-based. She meets each client where they are, helping them to reach their goals with the encouragement of self-love, compassion, forgiveness, and healing.

Stephanie feels that it’s important to find a therapist who’s the right fit for you, and she encourages you to use the initial phone consultation as an opportunity to openly discuss what you would like to gain from therapy without any pressure or obligation.

Stephanie is licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LMFT #132816).
